For the VOLTWINGS product, an integrated planning solution for ArchiCAD is available, which allows you to work with the final model during the submission planning phase, instead of first creating a sketch and then inserting a detailed plan. This saves time, costs, and potential revisions.
Integrating a PV carport with charging technology for electric vehicles makes perfect sense, especially given the phase-out of combustion engines by 2035 and the increasing importance of electric cars. The future clearly belongs to electromobility, which requires a comprehensive charging infrastructure. With VOLTWING solar parking spaces, charging points can be easily and retrofitted to any parking space without the need for extensive excavation work. Safety is ensured by mounting the charging technology directly onto the durable column, eliminating the need for separate impact protection measures, while the connection is protected inside to prevent vandalism.
Although it's not the easiest way to build a carport, we consistently opt for a roof pitch of 10°, as this allows the modules to self-clean through natural rain. At shallower pitches, there's a risk that dirt will stick to the edges and not be washed away, which can lead to yield losses and require additional cleaning.
The roof surface is self-sealing and requires neither silicone nor liquid sealants. This allows the modules to be installed in any weather, eliminating maintenance-intensive joints. Another difference compared to other mounting systems for framed modules lies in the construction of the water-bearing layer at the module level. This seals the space between the modules, preventing the accumulation of dust, pollen, and seeds, which can provide a breeding ground for unwanted plants and lead to additional maintenance.
